ABOUT THE ROLE

The intern is a self-starter, proactive, and motivated member of the HER Social team. They have a passion for all things social and are punctual and reliable. Ideally, a knowledge of programs such as Canva is favoured, as well as experience with creating reels and social media content.

 

The intern supports the overarching team through providing support, assistance and insight.

Responsibilities:​

• Learning to schedule pre-prepared content using Later.

• Learn to analyse insights and prepare a report.

• Engaging on behalf of HER Social & community management.

• Gain a greater understanding of developing a marketing strategy for a range of different businesses.

• Assist team through researching Instagram trends, reels & hashtags.

• Assisting with content creation for reels, posts & stories.

• In-office organisational tasks.

Key Requirements:

• University Marketing or Communications major or similar degree field. 

• Strong knowledge of Instagram and passion for all things social media. 

• Experience with Canva preferred, additionally experience using Adobe Photoshop or InDesign is an added advantage.

• Growth mindset: Always looking for learning opportunities, new challenges and ways to improve yourself and the quality of your campaigns. Seeking improvement at all times.

• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet set deadlines.

• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills to produce efficient work.

• Works effectively and supportively within a team.

• Illawarra based and available to work in office for a minimum of 2 days per week for a two-month period.

Days are flexible with studies. Interns will be required to attend two days per week in person with our team in our North Wollongong office. Interns will receive a letter of recommendation upon completion of the internship.
